Visible allyship is necessary. In the current political climate, trans people face structural hostility across legislation, media, and public discourse. Clear symbols of support counter this environment. Wearing trans pride accessories at events, workplaces, and public gatherings states a simple position: trans lives matter, and trans and nonbinary people deserve safety, respect, and the freedom to exist without scrutiny.
I’ve always believed that small, tangible symbols of support can have a big impact. A pin may be tiny, but the message it carries isn’t. When someone wears trans pride colours, they’re saying something simple and powerful: you’re safe with me; you’re respected; you’re seen.

That’s why I was really excited to collaborate with NYU for their Trans Day of Visibility event this year. They wanted something thoughtful and recognisable that attendees could wear right away — something that would help set the tone of the day and spark conversations.
Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV) intensifies the need for these symbols. The day is designed to centre trans lives, amplify trans voices, and challenge attempts to erase trans identities. Event organisers require tools that communicate these commitments without ambiguity. Bespoke trans pride accessories meet that need through immediate visual recognition and durability. They define the tone of an event, signal inclusive intent, and allow participants to carry a long-term reminder of solidarity.

And honestly, the response blew me away. I heard that all the pins disappeared in under an hour. People actively sought them out. Students, staff, and allies wanted a way to show up visually and make their support obvious!
It was a reminder that custom-made accessories really do matter at events like these. They’re not just decorative. They help create a shared atmosphere. They signal inclusion before anyone even speaks. And unlike generic mass-produced pride merch, bespoke pieces can be shaped around the identity and values of the organisation hosting the event.
For anyone planning future events — universities, community groups, museums, or workplaces — tailored pride accessories can make a real difference. There’s so much room to create something that feels personal, intentional, and genuinely supportive.
